Top 10 family friendly hotels in Thailand
We’ve had a wonderful time in this extremely child friendly hotel located directly at the beach, Peace Resort. Aside from the many child friendly facilities such as a playground, playroom, child’s bath with toys and a highchair in the restaurant, it’s a lovely place to be for the parents too. You can enjoy a lovely Thai massage, have a splendid dinner in the restaurant with sea view or take a cookery course so you can enjoy the Thai cuisine when you get back home.
Just a lovely, quiet, small-scale accommodation. They have a pool you can take a dip into after a day of sightseeing (Bridge over the river Kwai, Erawan waterfalls). For parents with young kids it’s a relief to be able to keep an eye on your cabin from the pool. Just a lovely place to read a book in the sun while your daughter or son is having their mid-day sleep.
Liam’s Suan Dok Mai is a small guest house owned by a Belgian lady that lives there with her son too. It’s a small-scaled complex with a lovely pool. There are even rooms directly next to the pool. Is your child a fussy eater? This guesthouse offers the solution; you can order fries and frikandellen!
Briza Beach Resort is a lovely hotel located directly at the beach. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is very helpful. If your kids can’t swim yet, be careful you don’t book a room next to the pool. They have a playroom that organizes all sorts of activities for kids too. And there is enough to do for you too. Try taking a lovely massage or workout in the fitness room to keep those holiday kilos in check!
You can rent bungalows here, right in the middle of tropical gardens, dive into the pool or chill out in a hammock under the palm trees. Ban Sainai Resort has special family bungalows with 2 bedrooms so mum and dad can enjoy their evening too and, in addition, can have a good night’s sleep. Please note that there are bungalows here too that are located directly next to the water. This is probably not the best idea with very young kids.
A gorgeous boutique hotel located centrally in the city. After a day of exploring Bangkok you can relax at the pool. It’s not a hotel that has a lot of child friendly facilities but the location, near Khoa San Road and the Royal Palace, and the extremely child friendly staff make sure this hotel is in our top 10 family friendly hotels in Thailand.
Shama Sukhumvit Serviced Apartments is not a hotel but an “apart-hotel”; you rent a full apartment but get the service of a hotel. We’ve stayed here for 5 nights and absolutely loved the place! Why? The hotel has a lovely rooftop pool with an amazing view where Lotte and Floris could float around freely in their inflatable armbands. There’s also an air-conditioned playroom where the kids can blow off some steam if it’s too hot outside and the location is perfect! Very centrally located in Bangkok and with a Starbucks, McDonalds and supermarket (with diapers and formula) around the corner. A perfect spot for your holiday start in Thailand with the kids!
This hotel is located directly at the beautiful beach of Koh Lanta and if you don’t like the sand that much you can enjoy the pool. The hotel consists of multiple houses in a beautiful tropical garden. The family rooms have bunk beds aside from a twin sized bed that the kids will surely appreciate. And most noteworthy… they have a spa! So you can enjoy that relaxing massage you deserve because hey, you’re on holiday too right?
This hotel is located perfect if you want to explore the Similan Islands or Ao Phang Nga National Park. It’s a resort built in an authentic Thai architecture. The bungalows are furnished with a lot of wood and are fairly spacious. The resort also has a lovely pool with a jacuzzi and a child’s pool. And there’s lots to do for the mums and dads too. Why don’t you try being sporty in the fitness room, have a relaxing massage or take a cookery course so you can make that lovely “cashew chicken” dish at home?
This is a lovely hotel located at the edge of the river Kwai. It’s small-scaled, has a lovely pool and delicious food. They have splendid service and the staff is really child friendly.
