We love Asia & Oceania! Before we had kids we’d taken a few beautiful trips and had therefore seen a lot of Asia: Nepal, Malaysia, Borneo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & Australia. Yep, we’re true Asia lovers. We love visiting Asia WITH kids too. I found it difficult to find a child friendly hotel in Asia.
But that’s all in the past! I’ve asked you what your favourite child friendly hotels in Asia & Oceania are and well, you had a lot! From Thailand to Fiji.

1# Peace Resort – Koh Samui, Thailand
We stayed here for two weeks with Lotte and Floris (then 6 months and two years old). It’s a lovely hotel located in Bophut, the quiet part of Samui. The hotel has a playground, and indoor play room, children’s pool, toys at the pool, cots, highchairs in the restaurant and most noteworthy, it’s located next to Fisherman Village where there’s a large playground.
2# Bed Phrasingh – Chang Mai, Thailand
Despite the fact that this hotel lacks actual childcare facilities, the attention and special interest the staff have for children really makes this a child friendly hotel. Aside from this, the hotel has a lovely pool where the staff offers treats to the kids every once in a while during swimming.
3# Salinda Resort – Phu Quoc, Vietnam
The breakfast is extensive and delicious and they have a good kids club where you can leave your child without a care.
4# Shangri La Mactan Resort & Spa – Cebu Philippines
This hotel is a real treat too and certainly deserves the title “child friendly hotel in Asia“. Every restaurant has a special menu for kids, the enormous pool has several slides, there is large indoor playground where your kids can frolic around in. There are all kinds of toys to use on the private beach so the kids can enjoy themselves and there’s even fish food available so the kids can feed the fish in the sea, the blue sea. Oh right, there’s a special child’s breakfast buffet too. So what are you waiting for?!
5# Conrad Maldives Rangali Island – Rangali Island, Maldives
The fact that you don’t really need shoes on Rangali Island will appeal to every child. This is a lovely hotel when you’re travelling with kids: special toiletries for kids, an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner choice, free kids club with fantastic activities and furthermore a beach, an absolutely amazing beach.
6# Atlantis – Dubai, United Arab Emirates
This child friendly hotel has the largest water park of the Middle East, multiple kids clubs, a babysitting service and also several restaurants.
7# Novotel Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit – Bangkok, Thailand
Located centrally in Bangkok, this hotel has spacious rooms, an extensive breakfast, a lovely outdoor pool and also a special kid’s corner for the little ones.
8# Shama Sukhumvit Serviced Apartment – Bangkok, Thailand
This hotel lies a 50mtr walk from a large supermarket (where you can buy diapers and baby food), Starbucks, McDonalds, shops and all kinds of restaurants. We stayed in an apartment with a large bedroom, complete kitchen, washing machine and a balcony. On the rooftop you’ll find the rooftop pool. Is it too hot outside? The kids can play in the air-conditioned play room.

9# Naviti – Fiji
This hotel is a perfect place when you are visiting Fiji with kids! It has a fantastic kids club with activities for young and older kids. Dinner is served a little earlier to take the kids into account and they keep the sensitive taste buds of the young kids in mind so everyone can enjoy a nice dinner. Consequently there’s child friendly entertainment in the evening you can all enjoy together.
10# Sheraton Denerau Villas – Denerau, Fiji
A lovely hotel on an idyllic island. The hotel has multiple pools, a kids club (from age 4) and has a good reliable babysitting service (about 4$ an hour).
In conclusion, finding a child friendly hotel in Asia should be no problem on your next trip ;).
