A trip to Prague with kids? Absolutely! In fact, there is so much for kids to do, you will need at least a few days or more to enjoy it all. Prague is the largest city in the Czech Republic right on the Vltava River, with parks along the waterside as well as piers to explore.
Whether you are staying for the weekend or a whole week, these places below will keep you busy no matter how old the kids are. Some are better for smaller kids while others are better for tweens and teens. What to do and where to go in Prague with kids
Prague Castle
You have to take the kids to Prague Castle! It is the largest castle in the world according to the Book of World Records. With so much to see, you will need a whole day there. Founded in 880, it is also pretty old, so the kids will learn a lot about ancient architecture, art, and plants in the seven gardens.
Prague Zoo
Listed as the 5th best zoo in the world, the Prague Zoo has 676 species and 5,049 animals. From Africa Up Close to Water World, there are over two dozen different sections to see. The Bororo Reserve is a giant playground for the kiddos with a café. You can even feed giraffes, camels, goats, and sheep.
Stromovka Park
This park is a favorite for all and great for kids of all ages. There are 250 acres of meadows, forests, and ponds to explore. See the stars at the planetarium or take a hike on the trails. Don’t miss Matejska Pout in March and April with 130 attractions like roller coasters, games, fun food, and carnival rides.
Sea World
Don’t just stop at the zoo, go to Sea World too. Their 26,417-gallon saltwater tank is amazing with vibrant coral and giant sharks. Visit all of the sections including the cave, pirate ship, underground, and multimedia area. Take a night tour or feed the sharks, get some selfies, and don’t forget the gift shop.
LEGO Museum
Using more than a million LEGO pieces, see over 2,500 models in different areas of the LEGO Museum. The Pirate Section features ships of all sizes or you can visit another galaxy in the Space area. Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, and Yoda are just a few of the models you can see up close.
Petrin Park
Enjoy the outdoors along the Vltava River where you can climb the lookout tower and see the city from over 1,000 feet up. You will have to climb 299 steps to the top, so it may not be a good choice for toddlers. Take a ride on the funicular train, find your way through the mirror maze, and get some selfies by the Hunger Wall.

An island just for kids? Yep! It’s been there since the 13th century and is accessible by bridge. Catering to all ages, the playground has toddler swings, a climbing wall for older kids, and skateboarding as well. They also boast kid-friendly eateries and shops. Get some selfies on the arched bridge over the river.
Chocotopia
Chocotopia is three in one fun with a Chocolate Museum, Candytopia, and Wax Museum together. First, learn all about how chocolate is made and taste five types of chocolate. Then get some awesome selfies with the stars at the Wax Museum. Finally, watch them make candy or do it yourself at Candytopia.
Prague Venice Boat Tour
Take the kids on a tour of the Vltava where you can see the Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Rudolfinum Monument, Devil’s Channel (Certovka Canal), and the ruins of the Judith Bridge. The trip takes about 45 minutes and includes refreshments and tickets to the Charles Bridge Museum.
Speculum Alchemiae Museum
Harry Potter fans will love this one! The underground lab was found in a 2002 flood and turned into a museum. See a crocodile mummy, hide of the last black bear hunted, old lab equipment, and alchemy tools. Buy some Elixir of Eternal Youth, Elixir of Love, or Elixir of Memory from the gift shop!

Museum of Senses is a unique and fun experience for everyone. Blow your mind with optical illusions, see your head on a platter, watch water flow upwards, and get dizzy in the vortex tunnel. Hands-on games and activities, 50 exhibits, dancing in the disco room, and tons of selfie spots await.

La Casa Argentina
La Casa Argentina in Old Town has a variety of different foods in four separate dining rooms. This includes kid’s foods like nachos, burgers, and pizza. They also have an indoor play area with slides, tunnels, and a ball pit! They boast over 350 seats, so you won’t need a reservation either.
Koala Café
This place is not just kid-friendly, it is just for kids. Well, you can come but the games and rides are for the kids. Go-karts, slides, ball pits, a maze, and more. You can get beer and wine, but the food is geared toward kids including pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and sweets like donuts and ice cream.
Vytopna Restaurant
For train lovers, Vytopna has almost 3,000 feet of tracks with villages, bridges, and parks. In fact, each table has a track right in the middle of it so drinks come by train! The food is amazing with roasted pork, beef chuck roll, and strip steaks. The kids’ menu has burgers, fries, chicken fingers, and gnocchi.
Shopping with the kids can also be fun at some of the children’s shops like Hamleys, Patagonie, Hugo Chodi Bos, and the Yoyo Store. Sparky’s Toy Store is also a fun place and you can get handmade toys and gifts at Manufaktura. Make sure you get some souvenirs for the folks back home.
