You do need to climb to the top and it is quite a strenuous trip to the top but the view as you reach the peak is an experience that can’t be traded for anything else in the world. 5. Visit Kandy Market and Old Town Vibes
When it comes to Kandy, getting to witness the local lifestyle is an experience in itself. We’d 100% suggest that you make your way to the Kandy Market and wander through the narrow streets of the old town. From fresh produce to spices and trinkets, there’s so much for you to explore and indulge in. You can also find some local eating joints run by the locals there.
Kandy is hands down one of the most underrated spots to explore in Sri Lanka. It is not overcrowded with tourists, so if you plan things properly, nothing is stopping you from being able to make the most out of your trip to the quaint town.
