It’s so much fun to read that travelling with kids is such a passion for so many happy travellers. Riding a tuk-tuk in THAILAND
A solid number 1: Versatile Thailand. Of all the destinations you named, Thailand was the absolute favourite choice for a holiday with kids. We visited Thailand when Lotte was 7 months and Floris was 2 years old. Our holiday was amazing! We combined travelling through Bangkok (riding a tuk-tuk, visiting Lumpini Park, the temples/palaces, Sea Life and going cycling) and Koh Samui (relaxing on the beach of Bophut, visiting Fisherman village that has a playground and renting a car for a day to check out all the other sites) which was very much to our appeal. Thailand is versatile, easy to travel through, has good health-care and is very child friendly. A well-deserved number 1 destination.

Spotting tortoises in COSTA RICA
South-America is also represented on the list. Costa Rica is known for its astounding nature! The country offers amazing jungles and volcanos along with beautiful beaches. It’s good to travel through so you can easily rent a car to check out the whole country on your own. So what are the hot-spots for kids? Visiting turtle beach in Tortuguero, exploring the misty woods in Monteverde, plucking pineapples in Sarapiqui and lounging on the beach of Manuel Antonio.

Hawaii has beautiful bounty island beaches. But there is lots more! Go and explore the volcanos with the kids, hike through the mountains, go visit the turtles or be on the lookout for dolphins. Hawaii consists of multiple islands. Be sure to visit Maui, ‘Big Island’ and Kauai to get the true ‘Hawaii’ experience.

Spotting wildlife in SOUTH-AFRICA
“Mummy, I see Dumbo!” is a sentence you might just hear in South-Africa. For the kids, spotting animals is the highlight of their travel. In some parks, like Kruger, you can drive around in your own car. Spotting the animals from the car is exhilarating! Not just elephants,,,,lions, bison, zebra, giraffes and rhinos. But South-Africa offers a lot more. What do you think of horse-riding through the parks, cage diving at the coast with sharks (for the older kids!) or visiting Table Mountain with the cable railway from Cape Town? And just for the parents; tasting delicious wine in Stellenbosch.

Sailing a wooden boat in VIETNAM
Vietnam is wonderful to explore with kids. The country is very versatile; up north it’s a bit colder. You can go on beautiful hikes through the vast and luscious mountains of Sapa or sail the waters of Halong Bay on a wooden boat. When you travel down by train or overnight-bus you can visit small villages to explore the most amazing temple structures or hitch a ride through the mountains on the back of a moped of one of the locals. Vietnam is well known for its gorgeous beaches where the older kids can take kite-surf lessons or where you can go just to relax.
