I have written down five, “must do” highlights for you, when visiting Indonesia with kids. Indonesia is a beautiful country with lots of different things to do….. and excellent for travelling with kids. We are huge Asia fans, with or without kids, therefore this week some extra attention for this amazing continent and stunning country: Indonesia! I love to share our tips with you for the best activities when travelling in Bali and Java with your kids.
Absolute “must do’s” Indonesia with kids: there we go!
#1. Taman Safari Park Bogor
Spotting wild life! The bus takes you through the park, looking for wild life. So exciting! With a little luck you can spot lions, giraffes, elephants, tigers and komodo dragons. You can also explore the jungle by foot, while visiting the huge waterfall. Still some energy left? End the day at the spectaculair cowboy show, the kids will love it!
#2. Take the train from Bandung to Yogyakarta
Many kids love trains, ours do so as well. How cool is it, to choose the train for transportation from one place to another. You can take the train from Bandung to Yogyakarta. From the train you can enjoy the scenic view: green rice fields, mountains, rivers and even volcanos. During this 8 hour ride you can also watch movies or enjoy a tasteful Indonesian dish at the little restaurant.
#3 Tree Tops adventure park near Bedugul
Are you visiting Bedugul for the botanic gardens and the beautiful Ulan Danu temple? Make sure you have some time left for a visit to Tree Tops. In this adventure park the kids can climb, clamber and whiz through the treetops on different trails, from very easy to quite exciting.
#4 Waterpark Waterbomb in Kuta
Waterpark Waterbomb is chosen as best water park of Asia. This amazing park has, next to looooooooots of water and lots of slides, many other cool attractions which your (older) kids would love to try: the flowrider, the waterblaster and the euro bungy. Don’t forget to protect your kids from the sun when they are playing in the water all day. Have fun!
#5 Make beautiful stuff in Ubud
Ubud is Bali’s cultural capital. Here you can still find many artisans who make beautiful artworks. What would be more enjoyable than watching them? Give it a try yourself of course! In Ubud you can enjoy many different crafts: make your own jewelry, carve wood or make a stunning painting, and… yes, you can join as well. You can find everything you need to know about Ubud here.
