Oooooooh yes!!! It’s almost time….. for our RV family roadtrip in the USA! We will be travelling from Denver to Las Vegas in a huge 30ft RV, you can have a look at our travel plan here<\/a>. We will be visiting all the amazing national parks, with exception of the ones we already visited in 2013. This holiday is going to be awesome!! We booked our holiday at Travelhome<\/a>, they are an RV specialized tour operator offering competitive prices and perfect service. They even have some “mums” working at their reservations department, who have made some RV trips with their kids as well, who can help you with all your questions. But first, we have to go flying with kids…<\/p>\n

So, we are going to travel the States with our two young kids: Floris of 3 years and Lotte of almost (July) 2 years old. How are we going to do that? First of all, I am already looking forward to this trip for about 6 months. As I am so incredibly enthusiastic, the kids became enthusiastic about our RV family roadtrip as well. I have caught Floris several times daydreaming, when I ask him what he is think about he replies: “Our holiday in the States with the big bus”. When I ask him what we are going to do in the States, he says: “Watching koala bears”. Minus the “koala” he is totally right ;).<\/p>\n

We will be flying with United from Amsterdam. On our outbound flight, as well as our inbound flight we have a transfer at Chicago. As we have to fligh many many hours, I will share some tips for flying with kids:<\/p>\n

Tips & Tricks\u00a0flying with kids<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Window stickers! Kids can enjoy themselves for hours sticking them on the airplane windows.<\/p>\n

Ipad! At home we all have “Ipad watching rules” in the plane we don’t ;).Make sure to check what the kids can and can’t watch when the Ipad is on airplane mode<\/p>\n

Give them their own little backpack with snacks: cucumber, crackers, cookie and so on<\/p>\n

Ask for kids meals when making your reservation<\/p>\n

Take a Cuddle Bug \u00a0travel pillow<\/a>\u00a0with you for the kids, for sleeping and playing<\/p>\n

Sigg<\/a> drinking bottles are\u00a0sustainable, beautiful and very easy to use for your kids during the flight<\/p>\n
