Grand Prismatic spring must be the most photographed place in Yellowstone. When you see a picture in a magazine about Yellowstone, 9 out of 10 times it is Grand Prismatic Spring. Today we found out there is a good reason.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">So off we go! As Yellowstone is big, you need to drive quite some miles to explore the whole park. Luckily the kids are used to the driving. I have the feeling they see it as a moment to sleep, relax and watch their Ipad. Funny to see Fireman Sam had to move over for Junglebook after our bear encounters.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">When we arrive at Grand Prismatic Spring Floris asks Lotte is she has poop in her diaper. When Lotte says &#8220;No!&#8221;, he doesn&#8217;t believe her. I kind of get him as the smell coming from the spring is awful. We love to explore the spring, time to put the kids in their carriers. Floris in his Deuter and Lotte in her Ergo Baby. It feels like walking through a surreal world; smoke, awful smell, warm winds and the most beautiful colours. There are several springs, but Grand Prismatic Spring is absolutely the most beautiful one. Is see clear blue water surrounded by beautiful yellow, orange and red colours, wow! This is the highlight of our Yellowstone with kids trip. I have never seen something this beautiful in nature. The kids are very grumpy because of the hard wind, but even they are silent for \u00a0a couple of seconds when they see the Grand Prismatic Spring for the first time.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">After this mind blowing experience we have an American pancake lunch in the RV before we take off to Old Faithful. Old Faithful is the most famous geyser of Yellowstone. Since people can remember it blows hot water in the air every 70-100 minutes. When we arrive we ask someone at the parking when the last &#8220;Old Faithful show&#8221; was on. We are lucky, 50 minutes ago. If we are lucky it&#8217;s only a 20 minute wait. When we walk towards the geyser, it looks quite touristic. With the benches it even looks like we are going to view a play instead of a geyser. The wait is a little long for the kids luckily they entertain themselves with newfound American friends. After waiting 20 minutes there is nothing to see, after 23 minutes a huge pile of boiling water is blown into the air, amazing! Old Faithful can blow up to 32.000 liter, 56 meters up in the air. After the &#8220;show&#8221; everybody starts to applaud. Let&#8217;s be honest this is definitely worth an applause<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">This was already our last day in Yellowstone with kids. I totally fell in love with this place. Tomorrow we will drive to another beautiful National Park: Grand Teton.<\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Tips &amp; Tricks Yellowstone\u00a0with kids<\/strong><\/h3><p style=\"text-align: center;\">Yellowstone is big! If you want to see most of the park, make sure you have entertainment with you for the kids during the long drives.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Grand_Prismatic_Spring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grand Prismatic Spring<\/a>\u00a0is the most beautiful natural phenomenon I have ever seen, make sure you don&#8217;t miss it when visiting Yellowstone<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">If you are less lucky, there is a chance you have to wait quite long for Old Faithful. If you are travelling with (young) kids, make sure you take a stroller, kids\/baby carrier, water, snacks and entertainment with you.<\/p><div id=\"attachment_1763\" style=\"width: 360px\"
