A very diverse, pretty route. It has a tropical vibe because of the thatched roofs of the cottages. We stay in a four person house next to the pool. The house has 2 twin beds, a shower (with a real seashell tap) and a lovely roofed terrace with pool view.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The hotel features a little restaurant too (covered but in the open air) and a \u201chouse raccoon\u201d that scratches around at night and is fed by the owner.<\/p><p>To reach the beach you walk 5 minutes, but you can cool off in the pool too of course. Water wings are a must for the little ones as there is no toddler pool.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>We paid <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/mx\/cielito-lindo-holbox-island.en.html?aid=1421760&amp;no_rooms=1&amp;group_adults=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u20ac 360,- for 3 nights<\/a> in want to visit the ruines of Chitchen Itza then you want to stay the night at this <a What\u2019s the reason? Because this hotel has a private entrance to Chichen Itza. Because of this, the four of us were one of the first to enter a very quiet Chichen Itza. Very impressive!<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>We sleep in a 2 person bedroom that has 2 twin beds so there is enough room for 2 adults and 2 children. The hotel is large, luxurious and provided with all kinds of facilities: a pool, restaurant, workshops about Inca\u2019s and they could even arrange a Dutch speaking guide for us, that guided at on Chichen Itza. It\u2019s located in Bacalar at just a few minutes\u2019 walk from the well-known lake Bacalar. We\u00a0 booked a 2 person bedroom where we received a 2 person Aero bed for the kids at no charge.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>There is a reception, a pool with recliners (no toddler pool) and a little bar with a couple of tables and chairs. Every morning we have breakfast at the pool while the kids go for their first splash.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Next to lake Bacalar you can find a fantastic beach bar at walking distance: La Playita.
